Open up the ibeat go to the TPS screen click ok you should get this screen click content you will come to this screen where it says TPS value now, click read you will get the MV reading for the TPS at this point to get 100.2% at WOT mine must read 1001mv, now go to your hard stop screw on the throttle body and adjust it till you get the mv reading that will give you 100.2% at wot, you will have to re read these mv readings and reset until you get where you want to be. Now that you have checked your TPS and found it is off it is time to use the ibeat 1. I was under the impression that a jdtuner would be better over the ibeat.the ibeat will do about 75% of what the JD tuner will but the jd wont calibrate your TPS and if that is off everything else is just wasting your time, I use the JD unit to fill in the holes that I cant get to with just the ibeat, before I had a ibeat and was just working with the AFR gague which I have had forever for setting up carbs I found by setting the CO's in the ECU to 97/100/100 yielded some great results. Your motor will idle at stoichiometry (14.7:1) or less than stoichiometry but this is very near misfiring and If operating temperatures are not stabilized at a high level the motor will die. ![]() STEADY STATE FUEL REQUIREMENTS IDLE: Due to the low port velocity and frictional losses Idle mixtures are typically set at a fuel ratio of 1.2 or, expressed differently, 12.25:1 air/fuel ratio. ![]() Transient operation includes starting, warming up, and the process of changing from one speed or load to another. Steady state running is taken to mean continuous operation at a given speed and power output with normal engine temperatures. Stoichiometry is the chemically “correct” point at which the most complete combustion takes place which is 14.7 parts of air to one part of fuel by weight. ![]()
